Virtual Labs - Powering Up your Virtual Lab

You may hear this system referred to as Virtual Labs, Online Labs, vLabs, VMs, Virtual Machines or Proxmox.

This article discusses how and when you may need power up your Virtual Lab.

Context

Prior to working with your Virtual Lab, or if you receive an error when trying to connect, you may need to check to ensure your Virtual Lab has power and is running. If not, you will need to power up your lab.

 Instructions

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Follow the instructions in the Student Handbook to login to the Virtual Labs Environment.

  2. If your Virtual Lab has a green arrow like 309 in the picture below, it is powered on and you can end this set of instructions here. If your Virtual Lab does not have a green arrow and looks like 325, please continue to step 5.

  3. Right Click on your Virtual Lab number and select Start from the menu.
