How to Find Your PC's Make, Model, Processor Speed, and RAM

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide for customers to find out the make and model of their PC, along with processor speed and RAM, whether they use a Windows PC or a Mac.

Windows Users

  1. Open the System Information:

    • Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click the Start button.

    • Type System Information and press Enter.

  2. Find the Make and Model:

    • In the System Information window, look for System Manufacturer and System Model.

    • Example:

      • System Manufacturer: Dell

      • System Model: Inspiron 15 7000

  3. Find the Processor Speed and RAM:

    • Look for Processor in the same window.

    • Example: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10210U CPU @ 1.60GHz

      • Processor Speed: 1.60GHz

    • Look for Installed Physical Memory (RAM).

    • Example: 8.00 GB

  1. Open System Information.

  2. Locate:

Mac Users:

  1. Open About This Mac:

  2. Find the Make and Model:

    • In the window that appears, you will see the make and model of your Mac.

    • Example:

      • Model: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020)

  3. Find the Processor Speed and RAM:

    • In the same window, you will see details about your processor and memory.

    • Example:
