There are occasions where your Virtual Lab may not behave exactly as you expect it to, or respond appropriately when you click or type. This article is intended to help you find the problem and remedy.
\uD83D\uDCD8 Frozen on a Black Screen:
This can happen when a the Virtual Lab is waking up from being asleep. The steps below are normally enough to wake the Virtual Lab from Sleeping.
Click inside the darker black square with your mouse.
Press the space bar on your keyboard twice.
Move your mouse around.
Did the Virtual Lab Wake Up?
- Yes - You are complete
- No - Follow these steps to Force a hard reboot Virtual Labs - Basic Troubleshooting | Hard Reboot:
\uD83D\uDCD8 Software is Frozen or not responding:
This can happen when a the Virtual Lab is waking up from being asleep when the database running the software has not yet had an opportunity to reconnect with the software.
Follow these steps to gracefully reboot the Virtual Lab.
Virtual Labs - Basic Troubleshooting | Normal Reboot:
\uD83D\uDCD8 Normal Reboot (Preferred when possible):
This is the preferred method to reboot your Virtual Lab. This is the best way to ensure you do not lose any data and can continue to work.
Right Click the Start Button
Select Shutdown or Sign Out
Select Restart
\uD83D\uDCD8 Hard Reboot:
This should only be done when there is no alternative.
In the Virtual Labs interface, locate your Virtual Lab in the Navigation Pane.
Right Click on it.
Select Reboot. (If reboot is Greyed out this means your Virtual Lab is not powered on, select Start.)
