This article discusses how and when you may need power up your Virtual Lab.

Context

Prior to working with your Virtual Lab, or if you receive an error when trying to connect, you may need to check to ensure your Virtual Lab has power and is running. If not, you will need to power up your lab.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Open your Browser (Chrome/Edge/Firefox/Safari) and navigate to https://onlinelabs.trios.com or https://virtuallabs.easterncollege.ca

  2. Login using the first half of your email address, your email addresses password and set the Realm to the second half of your email address (triosstudent.com or easternstudent.ca)

  3. Image Removed

    Click LoginFollow the instructions in the Student Handbook to login to the Virtual Labs Environment.

  4. If your Virtual Lab has a green arrow like 309 in the picture below, it is powered on and you can end this set of instructions here. If your Virtual Lab does not have a green arrow and looks like 325, please continue to step 5.

  5. Right Click on your Virtual Lab number and select Start from the menu.

The best experience with Virtual Labs is currently using remote desktop, but the Virtual Labs will go to sleep if they are not actively used. You can use Brightspace in the Remote Desktop to help keep the system from going to sleep on you.
